Take a look at my DIY power drawbar for the PM 940 CNC VS. I already had a Milwaukee right angle impact tool which I used for the drawbar. I can get quite a few tool changes on a single charge. There are two speeds and I only use the slow speed for now. This is my first prototype for this drawbar. It seems to be working just fine.

The price of a 440 plus the PathPilot controller is 5700 or so. If you got a PM25 and converted as closely to the 440 as you could (ballscrews with double nuts, oiler system, limit switches, MESA card, computer, breakout boards, NEMA42 steppers, etc), you'd come really close to 5000. They use a spring loaded retention knob system at the top of the spindle to draw the collet, if you only do very light work these can up your game. They do not hold tools well however.

This CNC thing has got me doing a lot more "stuff" on my mill and now changing tools is the most tedious part of the job. I don't want an automatic tool changer on this mill.
